We’re growing fast and looking for a Special Event Intern who would like to gain experience and build their network in the exciting San Francisco food scene. You’ll have the amazing opportunity to cultivate relationships with local chefs, food enthusiasts, and craft food makers.
The ideal Intern is outgoing, passionate about food and travel, and exceptionally detail-oriented. We are looking for a go-getter, someone with a positive attitude who works well with others.
Reporting to the Director of Private Events, you’ll be part of an exciting, high-energy startup environment as a member of EatWith’s events team.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with planning and coordination of private and shared events.
Provide awesome customer service. Answer client’s questions, via phone, email, and in person.
Assist with tracking of all event logistics, permits, licenses, contracts, fees and special requests.
Attend events and assist as needed with on-site logistics, programming, host load-in/load-out and vendor/sponsor check-out.
Assist in coordination and scheduling of volunteers and/or temporary paid event staff.
Manage and schedule event programming, food demos, educational presentations, DIY areas, contests, and other promotions as needed.
Assist with general office duties.
RequirementsHigh-energy and customer-focused attitude with a passion for all things food.
Creative problem-solver and self-starter.
Experience managing multiple projects and delivering on tight deadlines.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communicator and natural collaborator.
Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps.
