Description

The Fabulous Fox Theatre is looking for a qualified intern to join our Special Events team. Under the direction of our Director of Food and Beverages Department, the intern will observe and assist with various projects assigned by the Special Events department. We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and reliable intern to participate in a variety of tasks and projects.

As an intern, you will gain valuable special events related experience, especially within the wedding, business events, and corporate outings.

Responsibilities:
As a Special Events Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn and assist with various events duties including, but not limited to:
 Set up, including but not limited to arranging décor, chairs, tables, linens, and buffets

 Tear down, including clearing tables throughout the event to ensure the venue is always show ready

 Serving food and beverages to Guests

 Effectively communicate with Guests and clients throughout event

Requirements

Ideal candidates are currently majoring in Events Management, Hospitality, Fundraising or other related field and should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. We are looking for someone with experience with an interest in the arts and entertainment industry. You must be comfortable working as part of a team and also capable of working independently.

Some work is done during weekdays, but majority of work will be done during evening and weekend hours.
