Description

byAmanda Events is a very small event planning company specializing in Weddings in the NYC/Brooklyn/Hudson Valley Areas. This is an "off-site" internship with 1 weekly onsite meeting happening either in Soho or Tribeca. There will also be several opportunities to meet with vendors and couples. The position will allow first hand experience working with couples in all aspects of the planning process, from sales, to start, to finish.

Responsibilities

We are seeking and intern to assist with vendor and location research and Event Logistics planning - providing an amazing opportunity to learn NYC's best wedding vendors. This internship will also involve email communication with outside vendors and working within Aisle Planner - our event planning software. There is also a social media aspect to the internship - we would like this position to handle at least one wedding related repost on our instagram, facebook, twitter and pinterest accounts.

Requirements

Must have a functioning and up to date computer and regular access to said computer. No wedding experience necessary but some catering or event experience preferred. Must be willing to commit to at least one wedding execution which will be on a weekend. Must commit through November 24th. Must be willing to meet on "off-hours" such as weeknights and weekends. Wedding clients have full day jobs and planner work around their schedule!
