Like to write? Like to stir opinion? Like … divorce?
The Huffington Post is seeking a “divorce intern” for its Beverly Hills office, who will take on reporting and editorial duties for one of the Web’s highest-traffic news blog networks.
“HuffPost,” as it is sometimes branded for short, was founded in 2005 by former California gubernatorial candidate Arianna Huffington. It has grown rapidly to encompass niche sites on subjects like college, books, “Impact” (whatever that means) and of course, the legal and emotional dissolution of marriage. In all, the network has more than 25 million unique visitors per month. In February, it was acquired by AOL for $315 million.
I truly wish for a moment that I could be the guy reviewing applicants for this position, just to read all the awkward and inappropriate histories of their parents’ marital issues. I mean, to be fair, what else would you write about? I guess you could send a screenshot of your TiVo filled with recordings of Divorce Court.
All jokes aside, this is a very big opportunity for writers and editors to get their work seen by a huge audience at an internet news outlet that has become a household name. To check out the listing right here on Internships.com, click here.
