Our very own Rob Czechowicz came across this weeks Fun Friday video  — and even though this production is no where near a 2 hour long movie featuring Jesse Eisenberg & Justin Timberlake, I am still entertained by the lyrics.

Flowing through the features that Google Plus offers, Break Media presents their Break Original: Google+ Song. Sound familiar? The groups lyrical wit is sung to the tune of Queen – “Another One Bites the Dust.”

Our very own Coleman Lavery brought this miraculously topical Fun Friday video to my attention the other day — and even though it was most definitely a viral publicity stunt, I am still impressed by the execution.

In the midst of a presentation (on LinkedIn’s charity events, *WINK WINK*), LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner was interrupted by a number of the company’s interns, who proceeded to enact a dance medley featuring the music of Michael Jackson.

Like Dr. Conrad Murray, the Internet is a great enabler. Without it, we might never be privy to all the bizarre things our neighbors would be too embarrassed to do in front of live people, but have no problem uploading to millions of people who are not in their direct line of sight.

I will say the following things about this video:

1. It may cause your eardrums to melt and evaporate.
2. Any sudden and permanent loss of hearing will come as a major relief.
3. It is strangely heartwarming.

Sometimes, it’s no laughing matter, like when it happens to me. But sometimes, it’s pretty awesome, like when it happens to someone who is destroying personal property because other people he probably has never met lost a hockey game.

I’ve never been that big into horse racing. Generally, if 70% or more of the action at a sporting event is obscured by trees, it qualifies as fairly lame in my book.

Fortunately, the Japanese are experts at spicing up a mundane concept with the appropriate level of insanity. Proof positive lies in this remarkable YouTube video titled “JAPAN WORLD CUP 3,” which I’m told is some sort of promo material for an actual racing event, and not, unfortunately, a real game you can actually purchase. If it were real, my Memorial Day weekend plans would be dramatically different.

Alex Bragg of BajillionHits.biz brings his comic sensibilities to this ad for Internet Week New York that imagines his supremely awkward search for an intern. Imagine Kenny Powers as a Web 2.0 guru, and you have a rough idea of how this series of interviews is about to proceed.

That’s yet another corporation attempting to capitalize on our obsession with social networking. Earlier this month, Pepsi announced the production of a social vending machine that allows you to buy drinks, send drinks to friends and — of course — redeem drinks from friends.

Now, Max Arlestig and Maximilian Gebhardt, two students from the Miami Ad School in Hamburg, Germany, have made this concept video outlining a social bottle opener. Basically, you pop open a beer and this bottle opener, which is connected to Facebook via Bluetooth, automatically creates an event at your location. Your friends RSVP, and boom! Instant party.

We haven’t had a Fun Friday Video in a while, but I couldn’t resist uploading one of my all-time YouTube favorites. It’s a music video (and trust me, there are others worth watching) by Pensacola, Fla. songwriter Mark Gormley that achieves a zenlike harmony of mustache, falsetto and horrible green screen technology. I think you’ll agree that it pretty much sets the gold standard for public access TV performances.
