I am a junior journalism and Spanish double major with a minor in political science at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas — also known as the home of the 2011 Rose Bowl champion Horned Frogs and alma mater of LaDanian Tomlinson, Bob Schieffer and Sue Monk Kidd (among others).

As a journalism major, I am constantly seeking new opportunities to expand my skills. Journalism is a field that is constantly under construction, so I understand the need for versatility.

Although few people believe me, I am fluent in Spanish and enjoy surprising people with my Spanish speaking ability. I have had the pleasure of being the translator for two group trips to Spanish-speaking countries.

After graduating in either December of 2012 or May of 2013, I plan to attend graduate school at either Northwestern University or the University of Missouri. As of June 26, 2010, I am also a member of THE Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. (BLU-PHI and GOMAB to my brothers). These things all constitute who I am as an individual. Without any of them I would not be who I am today.

Thanks, Wyatt! We’ll keep an eye out for those Horned Frogs.
