Every week (normally on Friday), we’ll have a new Featured Student who will share some fun facts about themselves, be featured on the Employer home page, and get a fun gift from us.
Just for being so awesome.
Being a Hoosier is something I am all too familiar with, seeing as I just traveled an hour away to attend college. Indianapolis is where I was born and raised, and most of my sports allegiances lie there. (Besides the MLB, since we do not have a team — the only flaw with Indy in my eyes.)
I followed a passion for writing right into the sports communication program at IU and have learned to hang with the big guys — or, in other words, the boys who do not think females belong in sports. I’ll hold my own in a conversation about sports from March Madness to The Masters to water polo. Just sayin’.
In essence, Bloomington has provided me the college experience I have always desired. Jam-packed with friends from all around the country, volunteer opportunities with amazing organizations such as Indiana University Dance Marathon and off-campus attractions like my job at Grazie! Italian Eatery. Although it may seem like a small town to outsiders, it is full of amazing hidden (and not-so-hidden) gems.
In the future, I’d love to work with sports organizations who incorporate programs like Make-A-Wish or other community outreaches. My passion with sports dives deep beyond the scoreboard.
Likes: My Blackberry, Chicago-Style Hotdogs, and Quik-Dry formula nail polish.

Must do before I kick the bucket: Visit all MLB stadiums, do a pub-crawl in Ireland, and hit a hole-in-one in golf (real golf, not mini.)
Favorite TV shows: Mad Men, Shameless and SportsNation.
Desert island must-haves: Toothpaste, laptop with Netflix and a good raft.
Favorite foods: Spicy sushi rolls, BBQ chicken pizza, and chocolate-covered apples.
