Intern Katie Allman

Hired at EPIX HD

Katie is a junior at Indiana University majoring in Political Science and minoring in Business Management.

What are you most excited for with your new internship?
I’m stoked for the internship because it’s in New York and I’ll be doing social media–something pretty much everyone does on a daily basis except I’ll be getting paid to do it!

Tell us about what you want to gain from your internship?
I think I’ll benefit from this experience because it will teach me a lot about the professional media world, provide me with some more insight on what works and what doesn’t in terms of business and social media relations, and will be a great resume builder for the future.

How did Internships.com help you land your internship at EPIX HD?
Internship.com helped because I was able to upload my current resume and provide links to works and website I’m associated with, and use that to filter what jobs I qualified for based on my searches. The website is so easy to use that it’s almost impossible not to get at least one company to bite, and it opened my eyes to some companies that I hadn’t even heard of and wouldn’t have thought to apply to. It also made finding an internship in general seem a little less difficult than most people think it is.

Thank you Katie for sharing your success story!
