Every Friday, we’ll feature a newly hired intern who will share some fun facts about themselves and be featured on the Student home page. Just for being so awesome.
Ross Hurt, New intern at Core24
My name is Ross Hurt and I just finished my Freshman year at Baylor University. I have not declared a major yet, but as of now I am interested in a finance or accounting degree. I am interning with a local Dallas company called Core24.
I’m excited for my internship at Core24, primarily, because it will give me real world experience
I’m excited for my internship at Core24, primarily, because it will give me real world experience. This internship has been both challenging and exciting, however, it has been cutting into my fishing time. On a more serious note, I’m already able to see my critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and computer comparability grow through the daily challenges that Core24 presents me with.
Internships.com is the single reason why I am where I am today. Without this website, I wouldn’t have gotten discovered by such an impressive company, and at that, I wouldn’t have been discovered as quickly as I was. I would recommend internships.com to anyone who’s trying to find a company to get involved with because of how easily you can find jobs that fit your major, compensation, and location needs. (Aw, we’re blushing
Thanks Ross)
Intern Tip: For those looking for an internship, don’t give up. I found my home quickly, but nothing is achieved through self pity. Have confidence and trust in the skills you’ve been taught. Having an idea and being able to express it clearly is the key to success on a resume, and the confidence in yourself that I expressed previously is the key to an interview. Lastly, don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do it. Opportunities, available through this website, are just waiting for you to seize them.
Congrats on the new internship, Ross! Students, want to be the next intern to get featured, start searching now!
