The feeling is mutual – employers are just as grateful to find great interns as interns are to find great internship opportunities. While we regularly hear from students who have been hired through Internships.com, we also get employers who reach out to share their own success stories of using our service as a resource. This week we heard from tapTrack, a newly launched mobile app – “a MicroJournal that lets you keep tabs on all the things that are important to you.”
Internships: What results have you seen from posting and hiring candidates on Internships.com?
tapTrack: We ended up hiring two even though we were only seeking one, so I think it speaks to the quality of candidates that applied. We actually created a specific internship for one of the candidates because we thought she would be a great addition to our team.
I: Why should other employers consider using Internships.com to find their interns?
T: Frankly, it was very easy to use, and the candidates that we came across were very good. What we liked most, aside from ease of use, was the ability to manage all postings and submissions on one page. On a scale of 1 to 10, it was a perfect 10. As a first-time user, we got everything we wanted out of it. And are looking to post another internship soon.
I: Anything else you’d like to share with others about your success story?
T: We were very pleasantly surprised with the quality of candidates we received, and I think overall, Internships.com turned out to be a time saver as well as a great search partner for internships. Literally, 5 minutes netted us two great candidates who we hired on the spot. Can’t ask for more than that. As a start-up, the interns have much more impact and we’re happy to say that internships.com has provided two interns that will definitely make a difference in our business.
