Every day, our intern Ting gets a sneak peek at all of the new internships being posted daily on Internships.com. Each week he’ll choose a theme and highlight a few of the new internships he thinks are cool/useful/interesting.
On our site alone there are thousands (18,000) of students studying a degree related to marketing. But what exactly is marketing? The American Marketing Association defines marketing as “the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large.” This sounds pretty complicated, but I always understood it as the main way to get people to buy your products/services. Marketing is an ever changing art, a practice that is constantly adapting and innovating as marketers find new and creative ways to reach out to, communicate, and interact with their target markets.
