Museums: we’ve all been to one or two over the years.  They can range from boring to perplexing, and can showcase anything from art to technology to history.  Whether it is your small local museum or the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, museums have so much to offer.  Not only are they educational and cultural, they can truly open your eyes to something you had never even thought about.  So, this week’s intern picks highlights a few of the many internships at museums across the country.  Take a look, and who knows, you might stumble across a new passion at one of these interesting museums.

Here are a few of our new museum internships:

Public Relations Internship
Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, CA
Intern at the Grammy Museum as a public relations intern.  Be responsible for creating press kits, maintaining the museum’s media archive, distributing promotional materials, and attending press events and museum programs. Apply here.

Prospect Research Internship
Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago, IL
Are you good at internet research? Prospect research may be your future.  You will be identifying and providing information about potential donors.   You will learn how to use the top CRM databases in the fundraising industry and how to analyze fundraising data. Marketing & Sales Internship
Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia, PA
Assist in the development of integrated ticket sales programs, manage various databases, distribute brochures, assist with research for media relations, and provide administrative support to the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia. Apply here.

Marketing & Communications Internship
National Children’s Museum in Washington, DC
You will be reporting directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications, assisting with media outreach, social media, writing/ editing, event support, and research. Apply here.
