Intern Picks: Nonprofit Internships

Do you know the reason why there are both paid and unpaid internships? A couple weeks ago I highlighted paid internships, but there are vast amounts of unpaid internships that students take up every day. The reason these students take on these challenges for no pay is that they are not in it for the money. Profit is sometimes trivial in the mind of individuals who have higher goals and plans for their future. Imagine what could be achieved when an entire organization has the drive to put the profit made for themselves all back into their main goal. This is why this week I will be highlighting nonprofit organizations, and the impact that they, and potentially you, could make on the world.

Here are a few of my top nonprofit internship opportunities this week:

Non-profit Management Intern
with New Forest Earth in Cambridge, MA
If you love the earth and care about its well being, than look no further than this internship with New Forest Earth. The Mission of New Forest Earth is to empower people to preserve and restore their forests through sustainable community development.
