My internship at The Human Development Company was a unique and fulfilling experience. I live in Texas and the company is in New York, so I utilized Skype (video chat) throughout the summer to communicate with the other interns at the company.

We were all trained to become a group facilitator which gave us each the opportunity to lead a group session on a topic that college students commonly face. We collaborated on PowerPoint presentations covering various topics which gave us a chance to expand on personal thoughts in relation to the assigned topics. I feel very lucky that I got a chance to work with Stefan, Roberta, and Valerie they make a great team and being included in that team is an awesome feeling.

I was able to gain a lot more confidence and improve my communication skills as a result of this internship. I highly recommend college students to consider an internship with the Human Development Company because you will gain something from this internship no matter what. Not only do you make more connections with other interns, but you will develop mew skills and have the ability to contribute new ideas. You will gain an insight into what the Continuum Theory is all about and apply that to various situations, and see things through that perspective. I was able to take into consideration awareness, vision, communication, and unconditional love and apply that to my life and also recommend others to think about their experiences and situations through those four steps. I really enjoyed the group facilitation at the internship, that was definitely my favorite part of the whole internship!

Thanks Bhavika, sounds like you had an amazing experience! If this sounds interesting to you, apply to intern with the Human Development Company.
