Orlando Repertory Theatre has a rich history dating back to 1926 when the Orlando Little Theatre, part of the City of Orlando’s Recreation Department, performed its first show. As we’ve grown over the years, The REP has been known as the Orlando Players (1955), the Central Florida Civic Theatre (1968), and The Civic Theatre of Central Florida (1986). In the year 2000, the University of Central Florida Theatre Program merged with the Civic Theatre of Central Florida and created the Orlando Repertory Theatre.
