Company Spotlight: BOGO Bowl

Have you ever had an idea niggle at the back of your brain, dancing just out of reach, teasing, playing, but not ready to reveal itself? And then suddenly something happens, something that seems random, but BOOM! The idea jumps out and says “I’m here!” and it almost seems fully formed. That’s how BOGO Bowl happened. The idea made itself known in early November 2011 – “Why isn’t there a TOMS Shoes to help pets?” – and the company was born six months later. That was in May 2012. Now we’re in our toddler year and not only are we up on our feet and running full force but we’ve already learned how to make turns and avoid crashing into walls.

Whether you’re majoring in Radio Broadcasting or Audio Engineering, working in radio is always an entertaining experience. One of the best ways to break into radio is to become an intern. You’ll learn what it is like to work in the radio industry and most importantly, it will give you opportunity to network with people who have experience. Many people have started off as interns and worked their way up to have their own radio show!

The National Museum of American Illustration (NMAI) was founded in 1998 by Judy Goffman Cutler and Laurence S. Cutler to house their art collection primarily from the ‘Golden Age of American Illustration,’ (1865-1955) yet the museum also exhibits American illustration from all periods, styles and talents. The NMAI is housed in Vernon Court (1898), an interpretation of an 18th century French chateau from the ‘Gilded Age of Architecture,’ designed by architects Carrére & Hastings. The NMAI’s mission is to present the best venue for the public to appreciate the greatest collection of American illustration art, in perpetuity.

Nutrition Science majors study how our bodies break down food and transform it into energy we use. Students also focus on how diseases, conditions and problems can be prevented with a healthy diet.
