DescriptionExclusive Taste is a Houston based street-wear and sneaker boutique that is well versed in bringing in many elements of Fashion, Art, Music, and Entertainment together under one roof. The work our employees and interns engage in provides them with an extremely well-rounded experience. It is also a great opportunity for networking with people from all industries, predominately in the fashion, art, and entertainment industry. Interning at Exclusive Taste will give you many opportunities to meet some of the most successful people in Houston. We pride ourselves with having a very positive and heavily motivated family who are driven to do more than just a job. The Store is located within West Oaks Mall in Southwest Houston. We are currently looking for dependable and skilled applicants to intern as a fashion designer. This position starts as an internship with an opportunity for employment after 3 months gainfully.
ResponsibilitiesAs an intern you will assist with the following functions:
Design creation and development
Work under strict deadlines and flexible deadlines
Work closely with team members to design lines of clothing/accessories

RequirementsAttention to detail
Ability to follow directions properly
Effective communication and administrative skills
Ability to work with little to no supervision
Works well independently and in groups
Ability to meet deadlines
Accept constructive criticism
Knowledge of clothing line from fabric selection to cutting and sewing
Knowledge of professionally contacting manufacturers
Ability to start new trends and know what is going to be HOT/TRENDY
Must be creative, self-guided, and resourceful.
Ability to take direction well
Relevant college curriculum and/or experience with the arts.
Be well versed in the business and to the fashion industry
We prefer applicants to have a basic knowledge of street wear.
Each applicant must possess a drive to truly develop as a designer and a worker.
