Description

Shosh New York designs, manufactures, and sells women's clothing and handbags under the direction of Carol Pratt and Linsey Boisvert. Interns will have an invaluable opportunity to contribute directly toward this start-up’s growth and learn the business aspect first-hand.

Since 2012, each garment has been hand-sewn in New York City using a selection of silks, textured wools and shearling, and Italian textiles. Stylistically, Shosh is on the masculine side of feminine - an unboyish tomboy - with contours that hug the body like a mitten as opposed to a glove.

Carol Pratt’s experience as a filmmaker informs her penchant for storytelling, designing garments that play the tension between dimension and shape, revealing a more interesting version of the women who wear them.
