We are a brand new, Manhattan based, fashion start up introducing a new line of Brazilian swimwear. We are looking for an intern studying at a four year university in one of the following fields: Marketing or other similar business related field or any communications related field. This internship will be fast paced and you will learn a lot, especially if you are interested in digital marketing. You will work closely with the marketing manager to oversee the development of a new, comprehensive, e-commerce website. You will have the opportunity to attend learning seminars on this process that will be led by the firm contracted to build the site. In addition to acquiring this knowledge, the company is highly technology focused and you will be exposed to the full spectrum of new digital marketing tools including all social media and iOS related applications. It is important that you are also interested in fashion as you will be offered the opportunity to learn a lot about manufacturing and production. Please, only people serious and enthusiastic about fashion as well as digital marketing apply. I would like to help any student working with us to receive credit, from their university and will go through the required measures to make this possible for the candidate we choose.
Work closely with marketing manager in the oversight of new e-commerce website, production of high quality, fashion industry marketing materials. Exposure to a variety of production and manufacturing concepts and standards in the fashion industry. Some general office duties, may have to take phone calls or return emails. Exposure to PR and media outreach.
Currently pursuing a degree in marketing or other business related field, or a communications related field. Strong computer skills especially related to social media/internet and some knowledge of applicable communications programs like Adobe suite. Strong interest in digital media and the fashion industry. Please be able to commute to and work in mid-town Manhattan during some normal work hours. The internship will require on average 5-10 hours of commitment per week.
