The Boston Bazaar is seeking students for a photography internship for the Summer. The Boston Bazaar is a media company based in Boston releasing it's first national publication in print and online - Tosser Magazine. We're looking for a few interns to work on photo shoots, photograph people we interview for the magazine, and to take street style photos.
As a photography intern you will work with our editorial team conceptualizing and executing photo shoots, work on photo shoots of your own, photographing daily content for the website and social networking pages, work with the editorial team on the creative direction of shoots, photographing events, and documenting behind the scenes photos at events, fashion shows, and company projects.
We are only accepting applications for Summer 2013. If you are a student you MUST receive credit for this internship. We will not accept candidates that are not using this internship for credit. We're based in Boston so you will be working remotely in LA with weekly conference calls. Must have access to your email daily.
Start and end dates will be discussed at your interview so please have that information ready.
-Coordinating with Project department
-Coordinating and Photographing photo shoots
-Documenting artists and shops around the Greater Boston area
-Creating Imagery for the Magazine
-Taking weekly photos for our street style blog
-Editing site images
RequirementsJunior or senior currently enrolled at a college/university in good academic standing (at least a 3.0 GPA) or a recent graduate with proof of graduation.
-Prior photography experience
-Your own equipment
-Self motivated and capable of working alone or in groups
-Must have access to a computer and check email daily
-Knowledge of Photoshop
-Some knowledge and appreciation for the fashion industry
-can commit between 20-25 hours a week
