Supplemental to the online fashion editorial Making of a Mogul, SHOPMOAM.com is the e-commerce site that serves as a platform for designers to sell their apparel, accessories, and beauty products at the most competitive merchant rates to the most stylish women and men all over the world.
SHOPMOAM accommodates each designer with a private profile so that he/she is able to see who buys what product, how each product is selling, and more. The site is unique in that it provides a wide variety of merchandise from well-established as well as notably emerging designers for the most fashionable consumers.
Established in 2011, SHOPMOAM recently revamped its look and functions and is looking for an intern to help the site grow tremendously. The intern will be working directly with SHOPMOAM’s buyer and will be responsible for assisting the buyer with daily tasks, pitching ideas for social media content, drafting/writing social media content, organizing account information for designers and their brands/lines, and sitting in and taking notes during calls with accounts/clients to learn about the process of buying and representing multiple designers’ accounts.
SHOPMOAM’s team is looking for someone who is hard-working, enthusiastic, and well-rounded in their knowledge of the fashion industry. You must have experience or interest in public relations, marketing, research, e-commerce, social media, account management, and/or the process of buying. This internship requires the following.
- Proficiency in social media platforms such as
- Basic MS Office skills (especially Word and Excel)
- Basic organizational and math skills (to calculate inventory spending, etc.)
- Great communication skills pertaining to
o Interpersonal interaction
o Phone and email etiquette
o Written and verbal communication- Ability to multitask and be detail-oriented
- A sense of confidentiality and possession of a positive attitude
- Transportation to the office in New Rochelle, NY (this is an on-site internship)
