JBlu, Inc., one of the largest women's wholesale & manufacturing apparel companies based in Downtown LA's Fashion District, is looking to hire a dynamic PA for its Business Development Officer! The apparel group thrives in the heart of LA's Fashion District, due to the staff's strong work ethic, 30 years of experience in the industry, its apparel subsidiaries, and ~100 employees who help keep the wheels turning.

Our clients range from a variety of department stores (ROSS, DD's Discount, TJ Maxx, etc.), retailers (F21, etc.), independent retailers, and other wholesalers who are based in the US, Mexico, and various other areas of Central and S. America. The company is looking to aggressively expand in the next few years, which means, we are looking for those select few individuals who are extremely capable & "hungry" to mold the future of this company.

The company is currently seeking a dynamic PA to work alongside the young, 25 yr. old, business development officer in implementing new ideas to create more efficient processes. The goal is to drastically improve all facets of the company, ranging from the minute changes (decreasing the company's carbon footprint), technological advancement, creating a system for donating to charities, writing new policies & procedures, improving manufacturing processes, finding new factories/manufacturers (travel would be involved), fashion design input, & other fun activities such as attending NYC Fashion Week, trade shows, and much more.

In addition, because this is a WOMEN's wholesale & manufacturing apparel company, we are ideally looking for a very capable woman to aid in both improving the company processes as well as providing insight into the fit of samples when researching retailers. This is because the BDO's duties are not limited to any one particular facet of the company. Rather his role encompasses all facets of the company, including the fashion related issues such as creation of new designs, decisions on product development, department store buyer meetings (ROSS, DDs Discount, TJ Maxx, Target, etc.), etc.

If you are an extremely capable individual who LOVE's women's apparel, is detail oriented, can problem solve/think logically (crucial for the position), has excellent interpersonal skills, haunts shops such as Forever 21, H&M, Zara, etc., easily adapts to different social settings, AND works FAST&FURIOUS even when no one's watching, then you are what we're looking for in a PA. If you also happen to be a size 2-4 & love sampling clothes from the above stores then you are EXACTLY what we're looking for, but we know that may be asking for too much & this is NOT A REQUIREMENT. 1. Provide administrative, organizational & scheduling structure & support.
2. Prepare a variety of complex reports, including attending meetings to gather information,
conducting internet & other research, & writing reports.
3. Prepare complex statistical, financial, administrative & budget reports.
5. Review & summarize miscellaneous reports & documents.
6. Initiate & respond to written & verbal correspondence, including composition, editing
& distribution.
7. Design & implement office policies & develop recommendations for improving
departmental operations & procedures.
8. Create & maintain a system for organizing & storing both electronic & hard-copy records, & implement record retention policies & procedures.
9. Maintain appointment schedules & calendars, provide reminders as appropriate, &
coordinate travel arrangements.
10. Coordinate & organize meetings, including notification to prospective attendees, set-up,
pre- and post-meeting correspondence, meeting minutes & records, & any required
follow up.
11. Follow up on assignments given to management staff & provide status reports to
