Description

CHAOS Magazine is currently hiring individuals with high levels of interest and involvement within the fashion and design world's to join our fashion and style blogging team. You will be responsible for completing your draft and research pertaining to the specified category of thought that you are assigned (Designers, In the News, Street Style, Models, etc.) in order to express and detail various pieces of fashion-related information and news.

This is a mobile position with opportunity for promotion and retention in the future, so no required geographic area is required. However, it is an advantage to be located in areas of fashion interest and innovation (NYC, LA, Miami, Paris, London, etc.). We are hiring on a rolling basis depending on the strength of the applicant, as well as the present vacancy/need of the magazine's print and online divisions.

A brief period of training and familiarization with one of our senior editors is expected to be attended by any hires in order to improve and explain the use of any and all applications and add-ons used by the magazine for publishing.

Responsibilities

Self-starter
Responsible for research of relevant articles
Sourcing of Images and appropriate media references
Completion according to scheduled posts and deadlines
Continued knowledge and growth of necessary WordPress functions
Fast-paced adaptability when dealing with time-sensitive stories
Ability to move without much direction and understand the culture and vision of the aesthetic
Editing and modifying of drafts in order to minimize corrections
Familiarity with SEO principles and optimization execution

Requirements

Some experience/college credit in writing or creative-direction courses (Art, Design, Fashion merchandising, etc.)
A passion for style and fashion
