This position requires the ability to problem solve and assist in any areas necessary to business function. The above responsibilities are an outline for this position and work may be expected beyond these responsibilities. Teamwork and positive attitude towards new challenges is very important for this role. This is an unpaid internship.

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:
In this exciting position, you will be responsible to work alongside our Design Manager working on the following:
• Researching design concepts from WGSN
• Developing and editing CAD flats and design specification sheets (Illustrator)
• Assist with producing trend reports for various clients
• Render designs (Illustrator)
• Assist in applying fabric, trims and notions to designs
• Design Room Organization
• Prototype/ Sample coordinating and tracking

Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
This position is an internship for junior or senior level college students who are currently enrolled in a Fashion Design related program looking for internship experience. Please provide three professional or academic referrals when applying as well as a portfolio.

Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge in both woven and knitwear designs as well as various market categories
• Knowledge of patternmaking and garment construction
• Good computer skills in Adobe Creative Suite; specifically, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
• Good computer skills in Microsoft Office; specifically, Excel
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Must be fluent in English
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Able to work within a fast paced, team environment
• Able to work effectively and in a timely manner with a focus on meeting deadline schedules

Preferred - Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign
