DescriptionOmbre Digital is a modern fashion marketing agency built from the ground up to cater to the needs of fashion brands as designers, retailers and publishers of cool. We combine full service digital marketing services with an intrinsic understanding and love of passion and how you will too.
We are looking for a Business Development / Marketing Assistant with great understanding of the trends in fashion and beauty and incredible social fluency to identify new business opportunities and prospective clients for the agency. This role is an intensive foray into the world of business development for fashion brands as you will be responsible for creating connections with designers, entrepreneurs and small business owners, helping them to realize how a partnership can be of benefit to their business.
ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development / Strategic Partnerships
Seek / build relationships with complementary businesses (e.g. boutiques, designers, eCommerce,etc.) with the goal of developing new client relations;
Draft and create proposals for branding and marketing services;
Maintain and expand existing client relationships;
Update and maintain CRM database of various prospects and leads and create summary reports on various stages of communication;
Generate reports on business development activity to discuss during team meetings;
Manage promotional efforts by creating and distributing content on social media;
May oversee weekly newsletter, including sourcing content to distribute to subscribers;
Events & Editorial
Whenever possible, support internal team with development of events, including sourcing location, vendors, securing press coverage and managing RSVPs;
Occasionally attend events on behalf of or with agency team for the explicit purposes of providing editorial coverage or developing new business opportunities;
Profile and interview (when possible) at least one emerging designer every week for addition to sister website.
Manage and oversee content on the platform and seed the content through social media as well;
RequirementsPrevious experience with utilizing a CRM such as Salesforce or Hubspot or other methods of storing leads / contacts.
Comfortable with attending events or communicating / reaching out to relative strangers.
Strong ability to find brands and designers through social channels or at events and communicate with them in regards to improving branding.
Incredible understanding of fashion trends and the how communities are built and engaged around fashion online.
Previous education / coursework in Public Relations / Marketing is essential, as is the understanding or interest in learning how to communicate with designs and small business owners.
Must have previous experience managing social media in some capacity for another brand or firm.
Knowledge / ability with blogging, photography, photo retouching, videography or video editing is a huge plus.
