Description

Active Ego is currently looking for a Design Intern! We focus on plus size women's sports wear with our signature items being the sports bras. We have incorporated high quality craftsmanship, unique design details, and an effortless sense of sophistication to all our products. We are proudly made in the USA & Cruelty Free. Even though our manufacturer is located in Chicago, IL we design and manage the label from Dallas, TX.

We are looking for self-starters, leaders, and passionate individuals to help us in building a global brand. The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in a Fashion Design program and is very passionate and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge in both woven and knitwear designs as well as various market categories
• Knowledge of patternmaking and garment construction
• Good computer skills in Adobe Creative Suite; specifically, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
• Good computer skills in Microsoft Office; specifically, Excel
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Must be fluent in English
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Able to work within a fast paced, team environment
• Able to work effectively and in a timely manner with a focus on meeting deadline schedules

Requirements

• Researching design concepts
• Developing and editing CAD flats and design specification sheets (Illustrator)
• Assist with producing trend reports for various clients
• Render designs (Illustrator)
• Assist in applying fabric, trims and notions to designs
• Design Room Organization
• Prototype/ Sample coordinating and tracking
