DescriptionAs a design intern for Elaya Vaughn, you will be involved in every step of the design process. You will help with technical sketching, sample-making, pattern-making, cutting fabric, making muslins, and draping. In addition to this experience, you will also be involved in the business aspect of the line. Elaya Vaughn is a start-up company, so this is the perfect opportunity for someone who is thinking about starting their own line, and would like to see what that entails. You will get to work one-on-one with the creative director, Kate Pankoke (Project Runway Seasons 11, 12 & All Stars) and your opinions and input will be heard.
ResponsibilitiesDesign interns will be expected to perform order processing tasks like sketching flats, truing patterns, cutting fabric, preparing tech packs for seamstress.
RequirementsQualifications: -Advanced Flat-Patterning abilities
-Advanced Fashion Illustration
-Advanced Garment Construction Skills
There will be a portfolio interview if you are applying to be a design intern. We like to see experience, but drive and talent weigh most on our decision.
Prefer that the internship is for college credit, although will consider other candidates.
