Description

Intern Wanted
Meredith Marks seeks a part-time intern to start January 1. We are a fine jewelry design company located in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood. A $200/month stipend is provided, and the applicant can receive school credit. Internships vary from 2-3 days a week, based on applicant availability. Length of internship is flexible.

Our ideal candidates for the Internship Program are current college students or recent college graduates. You must be detail oriented, organized, possess computer skills and be a team player. An interest in fashion, jewelry, or design is preferred. Especially interested in candidates who seek to turn the internship into a part time position, though that is not required.

The intern will have the opportunity to witness and learn how a jewelry design company functions, from designing new pieces, ordering supplies, and selling to stores and personal customers, to coordinating lending jewelry out to celebrity stylists for photo shoots and red carpet events. Interns should not be shy about completing office support tasks such as database management, filing, organizing and arranging travel.

Interns work directly with the owner, Meredith Marks and her assistants, helping them with a variety of tasks, and will receive mentoring in all aspects of their work. Given the small staff and entrepreneurial nature of the company, this is an opportunity for an intern to step up and contribute in a real way to the growth of the company. Please email resumes and inquiries to jessica@meredithmarks.com
