DescriptionShop2Chic is an e-commerce boutique selling handbags, jewelry and other fashion accessories. We are looking for social media interns who will assist in running the store's social media accounts, and writing blog posts, promotional emails and product descriptions for merchandise. Interns will work independently and together with the rest of the social media team.
The ideal candidate for this position will be familiar with using all types of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.) and blogging websites. Also will have excellent writing and grammatical skills, will be very creative, and follow fashion trends. Prior experience using social media and/or blogs for business/professional purposes is not required but is a plus. Knowledge of different jewelry/accessory styles is a plus as well.
This internship is a special opportunity for to learn about social media marketing and create marketing content.
Responsibilities- Social media postings: Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter
-Assist in sourcing social media inspiration
-Assist in creating & updating art work
-Help set pricing and load specific items on the company e-commerce site
Requirements- Must be available 2-4 hours one day a week.
- Organized, detail-oriented
- Proficiency in Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter
- Eagerness to learn about retail & fashion
- Enthusiasm and passionate about fashion
Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator aren't required, but are a plus.
While this is an unpaid internship, student interns could have an opportunity to receive college credit. Contact your undergraduate advising officer for more information on academic credit.
