Description

Our fashion writers cover stories in and around the world of fashion. Not only is it necessary to have a strong background in writing, but they must also have a flair for fashion and a strong voice. This internship reports directly to the fashion Editor and occasionally to the Executive Editors.
We are looking for someone passionate about the fashion industry and looking to grow. You must be comfortable working with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities can include:
researching a subject and story;
writing and editing news stories to be featured;
ensuring work is well written, accurate and submitted to deadline;
conducting interviews, either in person or remotely with celebrities or bloggers;
attending fashion events and conferences
generating ideas for stories;
sourcing images to accompany written pieces;
meeting with colleagues to plan the content of the issue and the character of the publication;
keeping up to date with trends and developments relating to the magazine's subject matter

Requirements

strong background in writing (You will be asked to write a sample story)
Ability to work across teams, and influence in areas without ownership
Strong creative and conceptual thinker
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment and work remotely when needed
