DescriptionDo you love fashion and want to work in the industry? Are you comfortable on-camera and have a strong OUTGOING personality? We are looking for a temporary Fashion Editor (or a Fashion Contributor) to write articles AND create fashion how-to videos for the "Live Beautiful" section of our site at vurbmag.com.
Experience required as you will be writing content and creating videos with little to no supervision. To start, we'll want one piece per week (one week you might do a video, and the next an article). You would be in your articles and videos demonstrating what you're talking about. You should be fashion savvy (not just trendy) and be able to tell someone how to wear shorts to work, tie a scarf Hermes style, accessorize a bridesmaid outfit, and re-fashion the bridesmaid outfit for everyday. Our content is part instructional and you will be in most or all of them. The emphasis is on developing personal style -- not "look what this celebrity wore."
YOU WILL GET:
The right person will get lots of exposure and opportunities to do things they care about
$20-$40 per piece
Your own byline
Minimal guidance on the type of content we want
Your work will be shared with urban wellness readers in NYC, LA, London, and elsewhere
NOTE: TO BE CONSIDERED, LINKS TO YOUR FASHION-RELATED WORK IS REQUIRED
THIS ROLE IS VIRTUAL, WANT SOMEONE BEYOND THE SUMMER
EXPECT TO WORK A COUPLE HOURS PER WEEK TO START
PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU WANT TO WORK IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY.
Should things work out, the role could be yours long-term and we'd discuss a different compensation model then.
Requirements- Passion for fashion and have a knack for street style
- Strong sense of style to make style suggestions and offer tips to other women
- Be able to prepare at least one video or article per week
- Make article suggestions that would appeal to 20- & 30-something fashion-forward women
- Strong time management
