DescriptionWe are currently seeking internship candidates for Fall and Winter.
Our internships are an active working and learning environment, not the typical unpaid assistant position that is so common in the industry.
Interns will train on and actively assist in all aspects of the product development process both on client work and studio jobs. Additionally they will undergo extensive direct training to develop and improve industry-level sewing and studio technique.
We are currently looking for Cut & Sew knits patternmaker / product developer intern to work on primarily swim, lingerie, and activewear projects.
Our C&S knits business (specifically swim) is growing at a tremendous rate and we are looking to assemble a pool of freelancers we can call upon to help with peak demand or specific projects that might require specialized training or exceptional care. That being said, this is an internship that can very likely turn into a paid part-time or full-time job.
This would be an excellent position for someone seriously interested in pursuing a career in swimwear or lingerie.
Interns work alongside staff stitchers and patternmakers to learn industry methods and standards, and time allowing, will have the opportunity to develop their own styles from concept to sample with active mentorship.
ResponsibilitiesIntern assignments will include:
Measuring live models
Fitting on forms and live models
Occasional small errands
Flat sketching by hand and Adobe Illustrator
