This intern will report to the Men’s Merchandising Director. The intern will gain insight and learn about the merchandising process by facilitating key tools used by cross-functional partners to manage assortments created and produced.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the Men’s Director of Merchandising
Partner with corporate merchandising team and merchandise planning teams in communicating to the global business
Maintain and update Stat books with product images, buys, retails and margins.
Assist in daily maintenance of the business including updating line lists and communicating change management to cross-functional teams.
Understand product trends, historical data and departmental input at category/class level in order to manage in-season opportunities or risks.
Understand competitive environment; proactively see market knowledge through exposure to competitive retail outlets.
Influence others to achieve results.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of cross-functional teams (Design, Production, Planning, and Distribution).
Establish and grow a strong level of communication and partnership with cross-functional teams.
Assist in preparing for key meetings such as adoption and line opening.
Maintain and update various systems:
Ordering & tracking all samples
RequirementsMust be a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Must be 18 years or older
Prior internship experience is required
Must have an understanding of the VINCE brand and aesthetic
Strong analytical mindset, ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong written, communication and organizational skills
Requires excellent computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word
Excellent verbal and written communication
Proactive, motivated, team-player
Demonstrate a point of view about product assortment and business opportunities.
