DescriptionSmall startup women online shoe boutique is looking for a social media intern to assist with our marketing efforts. We are looking for someone to focus on our Social Media outlets. After learning our company vision, mission as well as our overall marketing objectives, our intern will be expected to create persuasive social media campaigns that will increase reader engagement, online sales and subscriptions to our newsletters and blog. This person must be a self-starter, team-orientated, innovative/creative and extremely good at multi-tasking.
The position is virtual and is 5-10 hours a week. We need you to implement techniques to largely increase our following and showcase our brand image.
ResponsibilitiesCreate daily/weekly content through photographs of our products along with fashion trends for in season and upcoming season and post across our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter).
Create content that is eye catching and relevant to the fashion industry.
Maintain all social media accounts and helping to grow followers.
Stay up to date on fashion bloggers and help foster relationships with rising bloggers.
RequirementsSolid understanding of how the major social media platforms work (Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram) and how to post optimally to each.
Previous experience helping manage social media accounts for a brand a plus
Outgoing, positive and energetic attitude
A love for engaging with all types of people
Vast knowledge of various beauty & fashion topics, entertainment news and current events
Knowledge of social media- Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram etc.
Strong reading, proofreading and editing skills
A desire to come up with fresh ideas on how to grow our online presence
Ability to use third party social media scheduling tools (HooteSuite)
Ability to deliver one message in various ways across multiple platforms
Willingness to post daily to each platform several times a day.
