Description

Welcome to The OMarche internship program!
Our program seeks fashion-minded individuals who would like to learn more about the wholesale industry.
Founded in 2003 by Lisa Ying and Bruno Peutat, O Marché was created with the vision to exhibit designers from across Europe. Bruno Peutat brings with him the knowledge and understanding of the retail business as a former owner of specialty stores in both Paris and New York. With her background in both the trade and finance industries, Lisa Ying seamlessly connects the designers with the retailers. With a professional team and a modern showroom, O Marché forges a long-term relationship with the designers to offer a unique shopping resource for the retailers.
Opportunities are available on a limited basis to specialize in RTW sales and/or online marketing.

Responsibilities

Interns will assist their supervising team in daily tasks, including, but not limited to:
• Showroom upkeep and visual merchandising
• Sample inventory management
• Sales assistance and order entry
• Cold-calling accounts and contacting target clientele
• Conducting market research
• Assisting at trade shows or trunk shows
• Marketing and social media
• Web design and internet presence upkeep

Requirements

Although there will be a heavy focus on sales we are also looking for a trustworthy individual who has the skills and creative energy to help recreate and maintain the showrooms online presence under the guidance of a supervisor.

Photoshop, proficiency in Social Media and Microsoft Excel skills are a plus but are not required.
