Tugg is a crowdsourcing platform located in Austin, TX that operates within the technology and entertainment industries. Through Tugg, the best of these worlds are drawn together, enabling people around the country to be empowered to bring the movies that they want to see to their local theaters.

As an intern at Tugg you will have the opportunity to work closely with leaders and specialists on the cutting edge of an evolving industry. The Content team deals with Tugg’s extensive library of titles and their content owners, ranging from studio blockbusters to independent art house films. This team is responsible for tracking & on-boarding new titles, maintaining content relationships, and devising innovative processes, strategies, and goals to aid in the success of a film campaign. Working closely with filmmakers interested in utilizing Tugg, interns will be exposed to high-level calls and discussions with a wide range of industry professionals, as well learn the ins and outs of theatrical marketing and distribution. We are currently seeking interns for the Content Partnerships and Content Management departments of the our team.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
Identify and track upcoming films in pre-production and on the festival circuit
Monitor films receiving buzz on crowd funding platforms such as Kickstarter and Indiegogo
Screen new films being added to the Tugg library
Formulate potential release strategies for new films
Compile organizational research & develop outreach strategies

Requirements

Required Skills:
Be attentive to detail
Be well spoken and affable
Take initiative to learn, read and share information
Be energetic with the ability to multitask
Display a strong work ethic and have the ability to work well independently or with a group
Possess excellent writing and communication skills

Bonus if you:
Have previous experience in data management
Have a passion for film
Have experience with CRM or other relationship tracking systems
