GOOD DOCS is a boutique documentary distributor that focuses on the educational/non-theatrical market. We are currently looking for interns to assist with grassroots marketing efforts related to our slate of new releases. Interns will work one - three days a week for a total of 80 hours on one or more film campaigns. Please send a resume, cover letter and three references to firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note that this isn't a documentary film production or editing internship.
Intern duties include working closely with the GOOD DOCS team on research tasks, email/phone outreach and social media efforts. Interns will be responsible for using both our own tried and true marketing methods, as well as piloting some out-of-the-box possibilities. In addition to promoting our new releases, your job will be to think strategically about making meaningful impact in the communities our documentaries address.
Interns must have a demonstrated interest in documentary film, grassroots marketing and or social causes related to the activist issues presented by our films. Our interns tend to either have a Film/ Media Studies, Communications or Marketing background, or they are currently studying/have studied subjects related to issues presented by our films (Women's Studies, African-American Studies, Asian-American Studies, Labor Studies, Sociology, Political Science).
