DescriptionWALL STREET PRODUCTIONS [Southfield MI] seeks enthusiastic interns with an interest in
visual effects & computer generated imagery for the film, television & entertainment industries.
Internships are thirteen weeks in length and are not financially compensated.
SKILLS USED & ACQUIRED DURING INTERNSHIP:
Experience the inner workings of a multi-media production facility, particularly the production of
visual effects for television, film & digital media. This internship focuses on intense immersion in
planar tracking, motion paint, matte generation, clean plates, rotoscoping, stereoscopy, z-space,
image stabilization, shot analysis & camera tracking.
Participants may also be exposed to disciplines peripheral to the internship’s focus including
surround sound mixing, commercial music production, digital audio editing, DVD authoring,
duplication and replication, non-linear editing, color correction, graphics & animation,
storyboarding & animatics, digital file compression & conversion.
Interns are expected to learn & use technical terminology, proper use of equipment, keyboard
shortcuts, digital format protocols, plus develop a working knowledge of Mac & PC hardware &
Interns will learn & use digital file networking, LAN & SAN storage and retrieval in a working
production environment and exercise organizational skills maintaining & accessing digital
databases & media libraries.
Prior experience is not required for this internship. Wall Street Productions will be glad to instruct
devoted and passionate individuals who enjoy learning. Upon completion, interns will have
developed essential prowess. These skills will greatly shape interns' ability to perform in their
Interns will be under constant supervision by a primary Wall Street team member. Throughout the
duration of the internship, additional team members will instruct interns in aspects of their specific
field, exposing interns to a broad range of disciplines beyond the scope of this program. Interns are
expected to take notes during presentations & will be tasked with preparing presentation of their own
based on what they learn.
