Are you passionate about independent film & feminist art? Would you like to learn what goes into a film festival from the ground up? Do you live and breathe social media? Have you nailed the craft of the Twitter post? Do you delight in finding new ways to share important issues & events? Are you still trying to figure out if you hate Lena Dunham or want to be her?
We are looking for a qualified intern to assist our marketing team with outreach for a feminist film festival to take place this December in Hollywood.
What you will learn:
Social media marketing on Twitter & Instagram
Copywriting for social media
How to grow and promote a brand using social media & face-to-face marketing
How to use social media for PR & Outreach
How to write buzzwords
How to write taglines
school credit + lunch + entry to events
2 - 3 days, totaling 15 hours, per week

You will be working with our marketing team to create and deploy marketing materials to press outlets, as well as using the Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook platforms along with face-to-face marketing to promote Moonfaze and solicit film submissions.
Your work will be primarily in social media, press and community outreach to local film schools, theaters, and independent film organizations in the Los Angeles area and beyond. Qualified candidates will have interest & experience in social media, as well as an interest in feminist film.

Up-to-date with the newest social platforms & trending topics
Interested in a variety of issues relating to women, film, entertainment & culture
Familiar with independent film scene in Los Angeles
Studying towards a Film, Communications, Gender Studies, English, Journalism, New Media or other Humanities degree
