The Los Angeles Review of Books is a nonprofit, multimedia literary and cultural arts magazine that combines the great American tradition of the serious book review with political and cultural essays, profiles and interviews with leading scholars and artists, and a host of multimedia offerings including interviews, short documentary features, and podcasts.

We are seeking an intern to join the A/V team, which produces a regular series of interviews with authors and artists along with profiles and short documentary features. The intern will be asked to participate in numerous facets of video production, including research and organization, camera, sound and lighting, editing, as well as web production and media outreach. Interns in the past have also been highly encouraged to pitch and lead produce at least one video during the course of their internship.

Responsibilities

You'll be expected to commit to 15-20 hours week and work will take place at our Hollywood office as well as other locations related to production.

Requirements

Some video production or post-production experience is recommended. A strong interest in literature and the arts is also highly recommended. A good attitude is a MUST. We're a tight team that shares responsibilities and this is an internship for someone who is eager to pick up equipment and start working.
