Description

Lumehouse is a Baton Rouge area video production company. We connect businesses and brands with their communities and potential clients by sharing compelling stories or creating compelling content through video. Our portfolio ranges from high-concept commercials for broadcast use, to in-house training, safety, and newsletter videos for employees and visiting contractors at industrial facilities.

We're looking for students who have a passion for creativity and want to learn in a production studio environment. Interns will have opportunities to gain experience in producing, writing and conceptualization, as a team member on set, marketing, and/or post production. Previous experience is always a plus, but a positive attitude, good work ethic, and team oriented mentality are more important. All of our internship positions start as unpaid, part-time positions with a chance to grow into a paid internship. Hours and days are flexible but consistency is needed.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary day to day and will be based on capabilities.

Task may include but not limited to the following:

Assisting our Social Media director (writing posts, editing photos or videos, interaction, blog posts)
Office Errands
Assisting our equipment quartermaster (organization, cleaning, repairs)
Pre-Production meetings (writing, organizing, creating call sheets, shooting schedules, location scouting, etc)
Market Research (creating spreadsheets, contacting vendors, information gathering)
Production Assistant on set
Creating behind the scenes content

Requirements

Ideal Interns will have:
-some experience in one of the following fields: film or media arts, advertising, marketing, communications, but all are welcome to apply.
-a positive and enthusiastic attitude with a passion for creativity
-strong organizational and problem solving skills
-proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, social media platforms
-knowledge in WordPress, Basecamp, and Adobe Creative Cloud applications is a plus
-strong communication skills with the ability to write and proofread
