DescriptionThe Scene Network is a fashion, lifestyle, and entertainment channel on Comcast channel 392 which reaches 2.4 million viewers in Chicago. The Scene Network is looking for an assistant producer to produce an original Scene Network show with a story line that would revolve around the fashion, entertainment and modeling industry (example: Gossip Girl/Entourage) . ResponsibilitiesHave experience producing shows or should have had worked on a similar project like this before. This can be your first project, but you must be passionate about this position because it will be a full time job! Must have creativity.
RequirementsYou will be helping with all the duties that the producer has such as; the business decisions associated with the show will be managed by the producer. You might choose scripts, find funding, hire staff and supervise production crews. You may also negotiate salaries and uphold union contracts. You will also be involved with the show's development and provide approval on creative decisions. Rehearsal times, locations and daily activities are will often be coordinated by you.
Additional job duties may include observing rehearsals, filming and post-production activities to ensure quality. After the show is finished, you may help execute a marketing plan to help publicize the show.
