DescriptionWho you'll work with:
My name is Peter Yuskauskas. I am 28 years old and part owner of Bikes and Life LLC - a bicycle retail start-up with 6 locations nationally. My role at the company is Director of Marketing and eCommerce. Before this I spent 6 years as marketing director for one of the largest online bicycle retailers in the country where I built a YouTube channel of 20K+ subscribers and 9 million + views in 6 years. That was while learning everything on the job. Now that I know how to work, my goal is to do the same or better in 2 years.
We are a start-up bike shop building our presence in the online retail market through the use of heavy video content marketing. Our YouTube channel is the primary outlet and we focus on bicycle reviews, event coverage, store and employee profiles, plus general fun videos. I currently film all of our video single handed - plan, shoot, edit, promote - but we are growing fast enough that I need help.
The YouTube channel:
Bikes and Life (the start up channel): https://www.youtube.com/bikesandlife
NYCeWheels (my previous channel): https://www.youtube.com/user/nycewheels
You'd be working directly with me to produce 1-4 bicycle or other product reviews per week using my equipment and your own if you have any. If you have editing chops, I can use those as well. I am an excellent teacher and am very easy to work with. I have no problem guiding you and helping you get better so long as you are driven to learn and get better. I don't accept bad work but I will work with you to get it up to quality.
A $20/day per diem will be paid in cash to cover food and travel for days of on-site shooting. We are a start up and that means money is tight. On the other hand, we're always recruiting - especially for creatives who love bikes - and there's room to grow with us as we grow. In my last job I started at the bottom and ran the show after 6 years (a $5 mil/year business). I want to offer the same opportunity for everyone. I want to grow together, not take advantage of you.
We will not have rigid scheduling unless that works for you. Much of the shooting is outdoors and weather dependent.
Potential trips to Worcester, MA, Denver, CO, Johns Creek, GA, California, more...
If you love bicycles, love video, and want to see your work getting views right now, this is the internship for you. Contact me.
