DescriptionCompany makes documentaries in autism and other disabilities. Our current project is a 10 year retrospective (sequel) to our most popular autism film made 10 years ago. That film received world-wide recognition, awards, and major media in television, magazine, blog and radio - so we want to capatalize on new and past media contacts.
Virtual tasks include marketing, promotion and publicity. Our mission is to educate, inform and personalize autism both within the autism and global communities-at-large.
We are seeking articulate, skilled, results-driven, self-starter individuals to assist with marketing and promotion. We are looking for people who can grow film sales and media appearances via social media marketing, public relations and perhaps search engine optimization.
Meeting will be held remotely once a week and interns are required to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
ResponsibilitiesPost highly engaging and targeted content regularly on facebook, twitter, Linkedin, Pinterest and other social media
Grow targeted face book fans, twitter and pinterest followers daily
Engage with fans regularly
Help create revised press kit
Harness and "clean" current email list
Get fans and prospects from various platforms to sign up for email list
Convert fans and followers into paying customers
Build relationship with influential and relevant distributors, would-be clients (for speaking engagements) on facebook and twitter (support film cast to help promote our film)
Research film reviewers online and pitch books for review
Write media attention grabbing press releases and distribute to influential sources weekly
Able to work independently and efficiently

Track and schedule radio and television appearances
While this is an unpaid internship, there is potential for the right candidate who books global speaking engagements and film screenings to receive a commission
RequirementsMarketing Intern Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Marketing
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Possess creativity, flexibility, variety, and growth potential.
- Should be open-minded, a fast learner, enthusiastic, and adaptable.
- Should be a self-starter
- Should be a creative, out-of-the box thinker
- Understanding of autism and/or film are important - but not required
