Duration: The internship will run for 12 weeks (flexible start dates based on candidate)
Time Commitment: Between 10 to 15 hours a week
Pay Structure: Unpaid with opportunity for full time/part time paid positions.

ResponsibilitiesPosition 1: Capital Market Analyst
The Financial Analyst Internship Program is a 12-week internship providing students and recent graduates with opportunities to apply their knowledge, skills and abilities in financial analysis, while making meaningful contributions to the firm and Toronto’s business community at large. Over the 12 weeks, Interns are assigned to work on a specific engagement or project. Under the direction of senior staff, Interns will have the opportunity to conduct research on various subjects and synthesize facts; analyse data and information, and prepare presentations and reports for internal and external audiences on multiple projects
Position 2: Private Equity Analyst
Private equity analyst will join our young and dynamic team of analysts who strive to use sophisticated financial models to analyse merits of investing in firms operating as a private firms around the world. The core work of an analyst would include analysing and interpreting the financial statements, LBO models, financial and economic scenarios, etc. They would be required to provide financial insights into how a particular company stands financially, comparing it with the market conditions carrying out detailed research analysis. . As part of his or her valuation methodology, a person in this position might also examine any competitive advantage the company enjoys by virtue of its dominance in the market.
Position 3: Marketing Analyst
With our Marketing Analyst, we act as as the voice for all our clients' communications (these include social media, e-mail marketing and blog). Analyst work on SEO, designing websites, optimizing ads and keeping track of social media activity. This position will be in charge of all social media campaigns under the supervision of our Editorial Manager so he/she should be creative, self-driven, detail-oriented and able to put together and pitch original campaigns to the rest of the team.
Position 4: Start-up Analyst
A more hands-on approach towards understanding the Canadian start-up ecosystem, this role will involve meeting and interviewing CEO’s, Owners and Partners of small to mid-cap companies in Toronto. A major part of this role is understanding the problems Canadian businesses face, giving us vital insights on how we can help business in Canada grow faster with the help of VC’s etc.
Position 5 – Equity Crowdfunding Analyst
Canadian start-ups are beginning to tap a wider pool of investors thanks to a complex, changing set of regulations around equity crowdfunding, the fast-growing form of financing that allows companies to raise money online. Until recently, only accredited investors such as institutions and high-net worth individuals could get in on these private deals. Today, the opportunities are being opened up to all investors, with restrictions on how much they can put down, as well as limits on what the company can raise. • Completed or in the process of completing an undergraduate degree from any field.
• Excellent fluency in English (both written and spoken).
• High GPA or proof of solid academic performance
• Industry knowledge: Sound knowledge of corporate finance and equity markets
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with the capital markets (knowledge of debt and equity security terms and valuation methodologies)
• Participation in the Chartered Financial Analysts® (CFA) program is a plus
• Self-motivated, results driven and able to work independently
• Very strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Team player with strong interpersonal skill
