DescriptionConscious Step is looking for a Management/Finance Intern to be part of our social enterprise fashion startup experiencing fast growth. This is a unique opportunity to work directly under the CEO to help manage and organize a fast-growing business. Passion for social entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and international affairs as well as great organizational, communication, management, and financial skills.
Conscious Step was created to give an ordinary purchase, extraordinary purpose. Supplying the world with fashionable, sustainably manufactured socks, each design in our collection is matched with a different cause to create positive impact and awareness for the worlds most serious problems (using the framework of the UN Sustainable Goals.)
Having launched following a successful crowdfunding campaign in 2013, winning 5 business competitions internationally, and being covered by the United Nations, Conscious Step is looking to bring its brand into the hearts and minds of people around the world. We are looking for a motivated, talented and passionate individual who seeks work with meaning. This internship offers the opportunity to work directly with the founders to contribute to the DNA of a startup fashion company, gaining invaluable hands-on industry experience throughout.
ResponsibilitiesCreate presentations on business data to help analyze next moves
Analyzing and organizing business financial data
Assist in managing charity relationships
Sales -> Person to person and to business
Assist in building value added partnerships
Assist in basic accounting

RequirementsExcellent analytical and organizational skills
Experience and passion for fashion and social change
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to create presentations and simplify data (Excel and Powerpoint)
