Then this just may be the internship for you. To be considered, you must be a full-time student at a four-year college or university and have permission to work in the United States. We want you to have strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and have a history of personal success.
Responsibilities* Social: Network, build relationships meet with different people of various life stages (young single professional, new family, established family, business owner, approaching retirement). You get to learn how to have meaningful conversation with each life stage and how to be most relevant to them through the art of questioning.
*Sales: Learn language and strategies around our 7 step sales cycle: prospecting, telephoning, approach, fact-finding, preparation-planning, close and follow through.
*Planning: work with our veteran financial advisors and mentors to learn how you can help add value to clients financial plan and help them achieve their goals. We work in risk management and wealth management.
RequirementsTo be considered for the position, you must have strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, have a history of personal success and interest in sales and the financial services industry. You must be a student at a four year institution with a social security number. A social security number is required by the California Department of Insurance to apply for the Life, Accident and Health license. We are looking for students to join our internship in the Sacramento, Roseville, Chico or Modesto offices who have a strong desire to live in these cities after graduation. Being bi-lingual is a plus!
