Interns with Northwestern Mutual have opportunities to get real life, client facing experiences. They get to
test drive what it feels like to build client relationships and a financial services practice. Interns receive
extensive training, development and hands on experiences—all with the chance to earn a fulltime position
upon graduating college.
Our internship program is more about developing people. You will learn what it takes to be successful, while
sharpening your skills in communications and marketing to help build personal and professional self-confidence.

ResponsibilitiesLike financial representatives and advisors, our college interns:
Provide expert guidance and innovative solutions for individuals and businesses in the areas of retirement
needs analysis and planning, business needs analysis and planning, employee benefits, insurance and
investment services, estate planning and education funding
Are supported by a network of specialists who provide expertise in all product areas
Build trusted relationships with their clients
Have exclusive access to Northwestern Mutual insurance products and an array of quality investment
Completed two academic years toward a bachelor's degree from a four-year institution
Strong interpersonal skills; self-motivated
All academic majors accepted
