DescriptionWe are an accounting and insurance brokerage firm located conveniently in downtown Manhattan, New York. We provide property and casualty insurance, accounting, bookkeeping, financial planning, and tax preparation services for businesses and individuals.
We are looking for an assistant that will be responsible for completing insurance applications, issuing invoices, maintaining insurance records, and communicating with insurance companies as well as clients. There is no travel involved; everything is done in-office. Prior experience working in the insurance field is not required.
Responsibilities- Prepare insurance applications for insurance prices/quotes, endorsements, cancellations, and bonds.
- Obtain insurance proposals from insurance companies (via email or fax) for clients.
- Generate invoices.
- Draft insurance claim forms.
- Maintaining records of underwritten policies and assist in monitoring cancellations, recommendations, and renewals.
- Negotiating and explaining proposals and policy terms with clients.
