DescriptionWA Financial is a startup investment and wealth management company based in Sacramento, CA. Unlike other wealth management firms, we provide in house investment management and conduct our own economic and security analysis. We are looking for a dedicated intern to work under our Investment Research Division.
Our Investment Research Division conducts primary economic and security analysis and publishes periodical reports. As an intern, you will be trained in corporate finance and accounting, economic analysis, research methods, security analysis, and core trading strategies. Once you have completed your training you will work directly to assess economic factors and trends and their impact on asset prices and sectors, or work to analyze securities and assess their merits and value. Interns will also get to work directly with senior management and get live experience in the field. This is a great opportunity for a finance, business, or economics student who wish to work in investment banking, investment management, economic research, and other financial-related fields.
The role is unpaid, but may lead to a full time offer based upon performance. Candidates must be based in the Sacramento Metro to be considered.
-Updating company profile sheets or economic data sheets
-Gathering primary data under supervision
-Researching economic and investment trends
-Completing assigned tasks and projects
-Drafting investment or economic reports, commentary, and insights
-Ad hoc assignments
RequirementsIdeal candidates will be:
-Economic, business, or finance majors in their last year or recent grads are preferred, although other majors are welcome to apply.
-Strong interest in financial markets, investment banking, and/or economics.
-Understanding of basic accounting and economics.
-Basic Excel and MS Office skills.
-Eager to learn
